Red Hook, Brooklyn
During the Fall of 2007, we began a program with four high school/college students in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Dreaming with Cameras is collaborating with Added Value to teach students to use the camera as a tool for self--expression while also looking at the lack of access to quality food in the area. The weekly assignments allowed the students to use their photography as a way to assess the food system in Red Hook.

Jackson Heights, Queens
The Jackson Heights project began in July 2007. After a few months of weekly training, these young artists have been able to share with us a glimpse of what it means to be part of the vibrant, yet ordinary life in Queens and other areas of New York City. All youth belong to recent immigrant families from Latin America.
